Ennis to Doolin, a sick day and then to Kinvarna. Burrens and cliffs and monestaries
There was even a little fort on the edge which was probably just for tourists to visit.
One of our stops was at the Kilmacduagh monastery site. This included quite a few buildings built in the 11th century, including a tower where the monks would go if attacked. This same tower in this day and time leaned. The leaning tower of Kilmacduagh! It was quite a sight and very much worth going an extra 20 kms to see it.
